Update on Puppies!
Our puppies are growing. We have 2 left for a new Master and home. They have had 2 Vet checks, shots, and worming. They have been enjoying the weather recently since it's warmed up a bit. They are really starting to use their sense of smell and trying to hunt in the yard. It's cute to watch. Our number is 812 890 8314 or 812 890 4441 if you are interested in getting a puppy!

It's been a couple of weeks since I've posted. Many things are happening in our lives at this time. My baby brother, who is very ill with liver tumors, is still hanging on and waiting for that precious gift of an organ from an organ donor. Time is running out. He is getting sicker by the day. If any of you know of a situation where there will be an organ donor, please pass that information along. Through this process, I am just now learning of the imbalance of the supply and demand for organ donation. It truly is the gift that keeps on giving. There is so much information that is misconceived and education is the key to help those in need.
We now have only 2 little (but growing very fast) blonde males left. They need a home, so any of you who follow my blog, let your friends and family members know that these little guys would make a great companion!
We won't be breeding our labs again until late this winter, which will give us a couple of litters next spring. I want to rest the females. I don't want a puppy mill and want to keep my adult dogs healthy and happy. Hopefully, all of you who bought a puppy are enjoying them. They grow fast and can be fiesty, although some of you report your big males are a bit on the lackadasial side! (or maybe just down right lazy:). Thanks again to all of our buyers. I know they are in good homes. Keep in touch, Jennifer

Some personal information
Hello All,
I don't know if many of you have heard of "pet therapy", however it is a real type of therapy. I will post a link after writing this. I want to share with my followers a personal note. Recently, my brother has become more ill from a disease he has in his liver/pancreas with neuroendocrine tumors. The worry our family is experiencing is tremendous. One of the only ways I have been able to "de-stress" is by going out to the barn and spending time with the moms and puppies. They bring me joy in a time of sadness. I know many of you feel the same way I do. The puppies are just a blessing to me.....We still have 5 little blonde males left (we sold the last black one tonight). I am praying we will find good homes for them...people who have the "dog gene" like I do. If you are interested in following my brothers blog and maybe lifting him up in prayer, here is his link: www.rockwithbrock.org The link for more on Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Syndrome (MENS) is here: http://research.dfci.harvard.edu/neuroendocrine/ and http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000398.htm
We sold the black puppy tonight, so now we have 5 blonde males left...contact me if you are interested or know someone who is....Jen

Puppy Update
Hello loyal puppy/dog lovers!
First of all, an update on the new puppies. They are thriving, getting plump, and developing personalities. As you have probably read, I am partial to the runt, which I have nicknamed (temporarily) Prissy! She is so petite' with fine features, that I thought the name suited her until she gets a new Master. The chocolate ones are all SOLD. We have 2 black males left, which have a small white marking on their chest. This does not disqualify them from being AKC registered. I believe they will have blue eyes. We have several blondes/different shades left, both female and male, although we have gotten several inquiries today about those.
Update on my dogs.....today was warm outside, so I ran them to retrieve. Buddy was in Heaven. It is his favorite thing to do. I believe he would retrieve until he fell over. He has learned to drop the object on cue. They all; Buddy, Sugar, Butter and Pearl took a dip in our not so clean pool. We have it open but not clean yet...a little early for that. But they didn't seem to mind. They were hot. The girls won't stay too far from the shed where their precious puppies are at though, so they only joined Buddy for retrieving for about 15 minutes. Hershey, our older dog preferred to stay in his carpeted section of the shed. He likes to ride the golf cart better and it was too wet outside for that today.
I know I talk about these dogs like humans, but to me they are very close. They are truly the best companions. They are sensitive and loyal..something not always a trait in humans. I told one potential buyer today, that my dogs have been through some the most difficult times in my life with me..........I hope some of you reading share my sentiments and also have the dog "gene".....until I post again...I hope you enjoy the blog...Jen

Why I love my dogs and puppies.
I am growing very attached to the puppies. It is soooo relaxing to come home and go out to the garage and sit and watch the puppies and their moms. Then, I bring a few in at a time, and cuddle with them. I am a little partial to a few of them. It always happens. I want to make sure they go to good homes and to people who have the "dog lover" gene. Some people don't have that "dog lover" gene and wouldn't make good pet owners. Unfortunately, for my husband and kids, I do have the gene. My own Dad has 4 Dashaund dogs and we always grew up with them. I have a pillow in my family room that says "Never trust anyone who doesn't love dogs".
Talking about our Labs....this summer I taught all four of the white ones how to dive in the pool for their toys. Eventually, Buddy, my blonde male was able to dive high and accurately nail his target in the pool, and without getting most of his head wet. Pearl is a very, very good hunting dog and comes from that lineage. She will be delivering pups in just a few days. Not sure if she will throw any colors besides blonde. This summer I plan on taking all of the dogs out in the field and training them to retrieve. We have surronding fields on all 4 sides of our home. We have done this with Hershey and he can retrieve now by smell. Sometimes though, he gets lazy when he hears the golfcart bell and comes for a ride back! He is tried and true and a great companion for my husband. He was a gift to my husband after his heart surgery and a very blessed one.
Signing off for now....I hope you enjoy the new pics..will post some more soon...

Puppies are due soon
We live on a rural farm in Southwest Indiana, close to a small town named Wheatland. We raise puppies as a hobby. As of present, we have 2 males (Hershey & Buddy) and 3 females (Butter, Sugar, and Pearl). Hershey is a chocolate lab and the rest vary in yellow color. Pearl is very light (almost white). Butter and Buddy are light yellow with shorter hair. They are brother and sister. Sugar is a darker yellow with a bit longer hair. They are all ACK registered.
Pearl and Sugar are very prone to being hunting dogs. Buddy has mastered the art of diving and retrieving. Butter is also very good at hunting. Hershey is the our older dog. He has been a very good family dog. He is also a wonderful watch dog. He loves riding in the golf cart and will run for miles to get in the cart if he hears the bell ringing on when it's being driven. They are current on their shots and worming.
I am expecting Butter and Sugar to deliver puppies very soon. If you are interested in speaking for a puppy, please email me Nursejen1976@gmail.com or jengirlie46@yahoo.com (serious intentions only). I don't think anyone would go wrong with the addition of a new lab puppy to their family!
